VICE PRESIDENT OF ACADEMIC AFFAIRS BIOGRAPHY

Dr. C. Lisa Fields serves Edmund Divinity School as its Vice President for Academic Affairs and Registrar. As an extremely passionate professional regarding education and training, she has demonstrated her commitment through the pursuit and attainment of her own academic achievements.

Her Christ-centered leadership for the academic life of Edmund Divinity School supports administration and faculty while guiding curriculum and educational services with wisdom, integrity, and collaboration. In her scope, Dr. Fields partners closely with the President to steward academic excellence, strengthen instructional quality across our online programs, and cultivate thoughtful innovation that prepares EDSI for faithful service and in preparation for the years ahead.  Her profound and professional experience as an Executive Assistant Administrator for T. Rowe Price, a Global Investment Firm, positions her admirably to bring to EDSI an elevated level of senior administration and management.

Dr. Fields provides leadership for EDSI’s academic life, including curriculum development and educational services. She manages academic programs, assessment, accreditation, and instructional quality in alignment with the EDSI’s mission. Her work requires close collaboration with the President on faculty personnel processes, scheduling, budgeting, and academic resource planning. Further, her role includes preparing and overseeing academic and faculty matters, as well as the College curriculum and catalog. EDSI shares the accreditation status with its partnering seminary, Cornerstone Christian University, and Dr. Fields serves as the accreditation liaison for all the College’s academic programs.

Dr. Fields has earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, and a bachelor’s degree in theology from the North Carolina School of Theology, and is presently pursuing a master’s degree in theology from Cornerstone Christian University. With over 40 years of experience in the Business Administration field and over 30 years in ministry, she is a gifted and qualified addition to our team.

In addition, Dr. Fields prepares and maintains semester calendars and academic schedules, demonstrating a clear Christian testimony and a Spirit-guided life, and a commitment to the mission and goals of Edmund Divinity School International. She has experience as a professor with a strong commitment to sound educational practices; a demonstrated ability to lead, manage, organize, and administer academic programs with understanding and empathy; a collaborative spirit; the ability to mentor faculty; and the ability to work effectively within an administrative leadership team.
